In ancient Peruvian history, Incas and alpaca had a strong bond, with alpaca reserved for use by royalty only. It's softer than cashmere and stronger/warmer than wool. It has microscopic air pockets, making clothing lightweight and warm. Alpaca is natural; no harsh chemicals in production. The animals wander freely in the Andes, unharmed when sheared. They graze without damaging local roots. Alpaca can produce 28 natural colors and can be dyed in any hue, always retaining its luster.
